Overview: The Histology Supervisor makes sure the histology lab runs smoothly while also meeting high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Lab Work Handle tissue processing, cutting, staining, and making slides for research and diagnosis.
- Lead & Train the Team Get new employees up to speed and make sure everyone knows what they re doing.
- Improve Processes Update workflows, troubleshoot problems, and ensure top-notch quality.
- Ensure Compliance Follow all safety and industry regulations (CAP, CLIA, etc.).
- Keep Things Organized Manage specimens, maintain records, and properly handle hazardous materials.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor s or Associate s degree in science.
- Experience: At least 3 years in histology and 1 year in leadership.
- Strong attention to detail, process improvement experience, and ability to train others.
- Bonus: Certification (HT or HTL from ASCP) and experience with digital pathology are a plus.
