Full Time - 40 hours/week
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver onboarding and competency programs using evidence-based practices.
Create orientation and ongoing education plans for licensed and unlicensed staff.
Foster a positive learning environment and utilize diverse teaching strategies (simulation, mock events, case scenarios).
Partner with leadership and academic institutions to support education initiatives.
Serve as mentor, resource, and role model promoting excellence and safety.
Maintain proficiency in unit-specific skills, EMR systems, and technology tools.
Ensure compliance with Mercy policies and assist with drills and education on knowledge gaps.
Education
If Bachelor's degree has been attained, 2 years' clinical experience is required. If Associate's degree is the highest level of degree attained, 10 years hospital nursing experience or 5 years' hospital nursing experience if active enrollment in a RN to BSN program.
Current appropriate state license if required in discipline.
AHA BLS provider.
