Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) Immediate Opening

Key responsibilities include administering medications and treatments orally, rectally, or via injection, documenting observations accurately, responding swiftly to emergency situations, and monitoring individuals for treatment compliance. You will also collect specimens for laboratory testing, provide health education tailored to individual needs, assist with repositioning patients, and manage medical records in electronic or paper formats. Adherence to safety and infection control protocols is essential, along with effective communication with team members.
Required Skills:
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Texas or a state recognizing reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact
- Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated computer and electronic health record skills (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a healthcare facility or similar setting
- Additional certifications in CPR or emergency response
- Prior experience with laboratory specimen collection and documentation
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Current LVN/LPN license in Texas or a reciprocating state
- Minimum of 6 months of relevant clinical experience preferred, with exceptions for returning nurses
Other Requirements:
- Valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Negative PPD test within the last 12 months
- COVID-19 vaccination and negative COVID-19 test results (testing provided)
- Ability to pass urine drug screening and FBI fingerprint background check (screening provided)
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including 7a-7p with a 4-hour shift, and extended or overtime hours as needed
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $37.50, with travel rates available, and a comprehensive benefits package including weekly pay, medical coverage, referral bonuses, and paid sick leave. The role is scheduled to start on 04/01/2026, with shifts primarily during daytime hours.
