Position Overview:
As a Temp LVN/LPN in Long Term Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to residents by performing assessments, administering medications, supervising staff, and coordinating with physicians and families. Your expertise will help ensure residents' safety, comfort, and well-being in a facility that values compassionate service and professional excellence. Please note, candidates must have reliable transportation due to the remote location, as public transit options are limited.
Required Skills:
- Valid LVN/LPN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Proven experience in long-term or geriatric care
- Knowledge of medication administration, wound care, and infection control protocols
- Ability to accurately transcribe and follow physician s orders
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Supervisory skills for overseeing Nursing Assistants and care staff
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to resident needs
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of wound vacs and gastrostomy/jejunostomy feedings
- Bilingual abilities to assist diverse resident populations
- Prior experience in rural healthcare settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term or skilled nursing facilities
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing nursing care
Other Requirements:
- Own reliable transportation due to the facility s rural location
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule starting from March 17, 2026
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to participate in ongoing staff education and training
