Position Overview

Ascend Medical Staffing is seeking a Pediatrician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Florence, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to provide critical neonatal and pediatric inpatient care in a supportive and scenic coastal community.

Opportunity Details:

• Coverage Type: 24-Hour Unrestricted Call (Off-site, home/hotel acceptable)
• Days per Month:
• Average Patients per Day: 1
• Patient Demographics: Neonatal & Pediatric
• Setting: Inpatient only (Hospital Privileges)
• Beds: 21-bed hospital
• Responsibilities:
  • Attend deliveries
  • Admit newborns post-delivery
  • Neonatal resuscitation
  • Admissions only no rounding required
• Support: You will work solo onsite but will have access to Tele-Neonatology for backup
• Credentialing Timeline: 60+ days
• Reason for Need: Gap in coverage

Compensation:

• Bill Rate (24-hour Call): $1,300/day
• Call Back Rate: $265/hour

• Orientation tasks will be completed on the first day of the assignment
• Assignment extensions require 6-month approval cycles
• No clinic/outpatient work required
• Certifications Required: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  EMR: EPIC Proficient users only
