Our client, a global leader in building automation and HVAC technologies, is seeking a Traveling HVAC Controls Commissioning - Lead Field Service Technician to join their team. As a Traveling HVAC Controls Commissioning - Lead Field Service Technician, you will be part of the Field Service Organization supporting HVAC Controls, Commissioning, and Project Delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem solving skills, and customer focused communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Based in Chicago or Des Plaines, IL
(Up to 70% travel to customer sites)

$40.00 - $43.00 per hour

• Commission, start up, tune, and troubleshoot HVAC control systems to meet customer specifications and job requirements.
• Install, configure, test, and validate pre engineered software and hardware for control systems, including start ups and system commissioning.
• Lead and manage job scope from beginning to end while coordinating closely with Honeywell project managers and on site contractors.
• Perform open systems and third party integrations, collaborating with vendors across multiple protocols and platforms.
• Coach and mentor associate level and installation technicians while driving continuous improvement in commissioning efficiency and best practices.

• Solid understanding of MSI (Master Systems Integrator) concepts and third party system integrations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to commercial HVAC controls.
• Proven hands on experience commissioning and troubleshooting HVAC control systems in commercial environments.
• Ability to travel up to 70% and be based in Chicago or Des Plaines, IL.
• Working knowledge of Niagara 4 (Tridium) Framework is strongly preferred.
