Join Our Team as a Pediatric Hospitalist Make a Difference in Children's Lives Are you a dedicated Pediatric Hospitalist seeking a flexible, impactful opportunity to serve young patients in a dynamic healthcare setting? We are looking for committed clinicians to provide critical coverage, ensuring timely and compassionate care for newborns in a Level 1 unit. What You Will Do: Provide 24-hour call coverage during three weeks starting June 2026, with beeper call (on-call only, no onsite presence required). Conduct in-person rounding primarily in the mornings, with minimal daily in-hospital presence ( 3 hours). Respond swiftly to emergency calls within 20-30 minutes of the facility. Discharge newborn patients, offering expert care and support. Manage newborn emergencies in a Level 1 unit for babies born at or after 36 weeks gestation. Required Skills and Qualifications: Active Oregon medical license and DEA registration. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years). Pediatric Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications. Ability to respond promptly within the designated response time. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in a hospitalist or neonatal setting. Familiarity with Level 1 nursery operations. Experience with telemedicine or remote on-call systems. Preferred Education and Experience: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. At least 1 year of pediatric hospitalist experience or relevant neonatal care. Other Requirements: Privileging process estimated to take 90-120 days; prompt application completion is essential to meet the June 1 start date. Ability to travel within 20-30 minutes to the facility as needed. Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
