Med/Surg LPN/LVN - Kinder, LA - Day shift

What You ll Do:
  • Perform assigned nursing procedures to ensure patient comfort and well-being, adhering to Louisiana state law and organizational policies.
  • Assist RNs with patient admission, education, discharge planning, and documentation.
  • Monitor patient conditions through frequent rounds, gather data, and document findings accurately.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, verifying orders and patient identification.
  • Collect, label, store, and deliver specimens following universal precautions.
  • Conduct procedures such as sterile dressing changes, NG tube irrigation, catheterizations, wound care, and more.
  • Monitor IV drip rates, infusions, and record patient intake and output precisely.
  • Support patient mobility, feeding, hygiene, and routine care activities.
  • Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and NPs during procedures and rounds.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and orientation sessions to stay current with policies and procedures.
  • Address the unique needs of patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Promote teamwork through effective communication and cooperation with colleagues.
  • Accurately receive, document, and relay physician orders.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Current Louisiana LPN/LVN license or in a compacted state.
  • BLS/CPR, CPI/MOAB, and ACLS certifications are required; PALS preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting required.
  • Proficient in nursing procedures, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Strong patient assessment and monitoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work days, with shifts starting on 03/16/2026 once credentialing is completed and approved
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
  • Compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $36.00
