Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Night Shift, Full Time

Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Director and Department Director, The Polysomnography Technician is responsible for providing Sleep Testing services in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures.

Registered Polysomnographic Technologist

Status: Full-Time, 36 hours per week

Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts

No weekends or holidays required!

Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma/equivalent OR Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography program
Experience: 6 months experience
Certifications: Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) certification; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform sleep study set ups, monitoring, and scoring with strong knowledge of CPAP, BiPAP, and oxygen delivery equipment.

• Monitor patient oxygen saturation, recognize therapy side effects, and document accurately.

• Conduct patient assessments, sleep questionnaires, and pre sleep screenings.

• Complete order entry, verification, pre certification steps, and file management.

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain sleep lab equipment following safety and sterilization protocols.

• Maintain required competencies, certifications, CEUs, and attend in service training sessions.
