- Level I Trauma Center
- Trauma call coverage
- New consults and hospital rounds
- Average ICU census: 10 patients/day
- Average admissions: 7/day
Case Mix / Required Procedures- Trauma
- Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH)
- Spine
- Placement of drains
- Back and spine trauma procedures required
Support Structure- Employed neurosurgeons serve as backup (most of the time)
- Occasionally 2 locums scheduled (one as backup)
- APPs assist with rounding
- Employed surgeons available for questions even when not on call
EMR / Communication- EPIC
- TigerConnect app required for consult notifications
Requirements (Quick Screen)- Board Certified or Board Eligible - Neurosurgery (Required)
- Nebraska License - Highly Preferred
