Full-time OB/GYN physician opportunity delivering comprehensive women s health services in a high-demand, patient-centered setting. This role offers a balanced clinic and hospital call schedule within a collaborative, mission-driven healthcare organization serving diverse and underserved populations across Central California.
Job Overview
We are seeking 1 2 OB/GYN Physicians to provide full-scope obstetrics and gynecology services, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum care, gynecologic exams, preventive women s health, minimally invasive procedures, and chronic condition management.
This OB/GYN position includes a structured weekly schedule of 3 outpatient clinic days and 1 hospital call shift per week. During non-call weeks, physicians transition to 4 clinic days. Participation in call rotation is required.
Hospital Call Responsibilities Include:
- OB postpartum rounds and discharges, including prescribing medications at discharge
- Scheduled cesarean sections, averaging 0 to 2 per day
- Managing laboring patients already admitted to Labor and Delivery for normal spontaneous vaginal deliveries or cesarean deliveries
- Admitting new labor patients for cesarean section coverage
- ER consults for abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Surgical management of ectopic pregnancies
- Admissions for gynecologic conditions
- Sign-out to incoming OB physician at 8:00 AM
- The hospital averages 120 to 135 deliveries per month during peak periods, providing strong procedural volume and consistent obstetric exposure.
Physicians collaborate closely with family medicine providers, primary care physicians, advanced practice providers, and specialty referral partners to deliver coordinated, team-based women s healthcare. Responsibilities also include hospital rounds, peer review, quality improvement initiatives, supervision of mid-level providers when applicable, and participation in population health strategies.
