Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Minnesota
  • Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or related fields
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, including interview-based evaluations and physical assessments
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to established protocols
  • Familiarity with veteran health assessments is a plus

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran health evaluations
  • Knowledge of mobility testing, muscle strength testing, and related procedures
  • Experience working in a government or military healthcare setting
  • Certification in CPR or advanced trauma life support

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or higher from an accredited program
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Prior experience performing health assessments and examinations

Other Requirements:
  • Candidates must have their own office location within a 25-mile radius of the specified Minnesota sites (Detroit Lakes, Bemidji, Rochester)
  • Ability to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
  • Reliable internet and computer access for administrative tasks and documentation
  • Willingness to complete mandatory credentials and onboarding processes promptly
  • No travel reimbursement outside of rates; certifications such as DMA or portal training are not reimbursed before start

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $402.00, with opportunities for bonus incentives upon successful completion of training and initial exams. The role requires quick onboarding, with ongoing administrative work (addendums, reports) to be completed within scheduled shifts.
