Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Join a dedicated team providing specialized care in a dynamic neonatal ICU setting. This pivotal role involves managing up to 14 patients in a Level 3 community NICU, delivering high-quality neonatology services to the most vulnerable newborns. You will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values expertise, compassion, and excellence in patient care. This position requires a compassionate and skilled neonatologist with a strong foundation in neonatal-perinatal medicine. Candidates should demonstrate excellent clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team. Required Skills: MD or DO in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Current medical licensing and certifications Proven experience in NICU management Strong patient assessment and decision-making abilities Ability to supervise Nurse Practitioners and coordinate care Flexibility to work 24-hour shifts as needed Nice to Have Skills: Experience with high-acuity NICUs Ability to work independently and within a team Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records Bilingual proficiency (preferred) Preferred Education and Experience: Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine At least 2 years of clinical experience in a Level 3 NICU Past experience providing coverage in community hospital settings Other Requirements: Willingness to work one week per month on 24-hour shifts NP supervision capabilities required Certification in neonatal resuscitation programs (NRP) Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules and occasional on-call duties Locums-to-Perm options are available for long-term consideration This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated neonatologist to make a meaningful impact in a community hospital environment.
