Wright Manufacturing, Inc. (WMI), an award-winning producer of commercial grade lawn equipment, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Internal Logistics Team.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, earning overtime at time and one half for hours worked over 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 4:00pm to 12:30am. Occasional work on Saturdays may be needed as workflows dictate.


Opportunity for overtime is available but not guaranteed


Starting between $21-23 per hour (including shift differential)


Primary Duties include:

Operate LP sit-down forklift to support our Crating Line (sit down forklift)

Manage Finished Goods inventory for your shift

Respond to radio calls from Group Leaders and Team Leaders to perform forklift duties as requested (stand up/sit down forklift)

Ensure proper FIFO inventory processes are followed always

Daily inspection of Toyota forklift

Waste stream management- transport cardboard, empty pallets, wood scrap, etc. to proper locations and process accordingly (baling, transporting product outside)

Inventory Control/stocking home locations for assigned aisles (mostly stand up forklift)

Assist in 5S Methodology (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) and manage warehouse housekeeping assignments

Assist with special projects and rework as necessary

Contribute to and participate in Kaizen projects to improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost

Requirements:

Qualified candidates for the role of Electric Forklift Operator should be able to demonstrate:

Extensive sit-down forklift experience required within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Stand up forklift experience a huge plus

RF Equipment experience a plus

Strong attention to detail

Consistent work history

Ability to work in an environment that is not climate controlled

Ability to work in a moderate to high noise level environment

Excellent attendance record

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance

Positive, team player attitude

Strong, independent work ethic

Good organizational skills
