Position Description

Job Summary:

This is a skilled position working in a production environment. As a Welder Fabricator, you are responsible for the construction, repair and installation of steel forms and maintenance within and around the Precast facility.

Essential Functions:

1. Protect Family and Friends. Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and guidelines. Support business activities, objectives, and programs. Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machine operation protocols, and welding safety measures.

2. Focused. Fabricate and assemble steel molds, reinforcements, and other structural components based on engineering blueprints, CAD drawings, and project specifications.

3. Results matter. Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding, as required, ensuring high-quality welds for durability and precision.

4. Safety always wins. Inspect, maintain, and repair molds and equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance.

5. Committed to serve. Perform adjustments or modifications to molds as needed to meet changing project requirements.

6. Respect and engage. Work closely with production and engineering teams to understand project needs and provide updates on mold readiness.

7. Communicate effectively to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.

8. Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), machine operation protocols, and welding safety measures.


Position Requirements

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. High School Diploma or GED (preferred).

2. Punctuality and reliability, including proper time clock use and communication with Crew Leader regarding work status and scheduling.

3. Reliable transportation required.

4. Proven experience as a welder/fabricator, ideally in a manufacturing or construction environment (precast experience preferred).

5. Familiarity with MIG, TIG, and stick welding; certification is a plus.

6. Proficiency in reading blueprints, CAD designs, and using metalworking tools like grinders, plasma cutters, and saws.

7. Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices.

8. Ability to meet deadlines while working independently or as part of a team.

9. Proficient in verbal and written English.

10. Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This position involves physically demanding tasks, including the ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Work is performed in proximity to moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. The role requires extended periods of sitting or standing, as well as frequent lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and performing repetitive motions.
