Job Title: Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney Location: Edina, Minnesota Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: 2-5 Years Practice Area: Trusts & Estates / Private Client Services About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trusts and Estates Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join our dynamic and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters, and will be comfortable working directly with high-net-worth individuals and families. Key Responsibilities: • Draft estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives. • Advise clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies. • Assist with the administration of trusts and estates, including probate proceedings. • Conduct legal research and analysis related to estate planning and tax issues. • Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans. • Maintain client relationships and ensure high levels of service and responsiveness. Qualifications: • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar. • 2-5 years of experience in trusts and estates law. • Strong drafting and analytical skills. • Familiarity with federal and state tax laws affecting estates and trusts. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines effectively. • Experience drafting a full range of estate planning documents. • Experience developing estate plans for high net-worth clients. • Experience administering taxable estates and probates.
