Position Overview:Join a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department in Kansas City, MO. This Level I Trauma Center sees complex cases and accepts numerous transfers, offering an excellent opportunity for experienced emergency physicians seeking a dynamic environment.

Scheduling Flexibility:
Main hospital may offer shifts shorter than 12 hours
Affiliated Free-Standing EDs require 12-hour shifts
Providers must be open to days, nights, and weekends
Must be willing to work across both hospital and affiliated FSER locations
Clinical Environment:
Trauma Level: I
Average Daily Census: 106
Annual ER Admissions: 34%
Common Cases: High-volume trauma (including penetrating), critically ill patients, frequent procedures, and high transfer rates
Technology: Occasional psychiatric robot assistance
Support Staff: Full specialty support except pediatrics
Candidate Requirements:
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
EM Residency Trained
ACLS, PALS, ATLS required
Strong procedural skills and comfort with high-acuity patient care
