What You'll Do
• Process a wide range of histologic specimens: grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining (including special stains & immunohistochemistry), and frozen sections
• Produce high-quality slides and perform quality control to ensure accurate pathology reviews
• Troubleshoot issues that could affect diagnostic outcomes
• Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on lab equipment
• Adhere to universal safety procedures and lab protocols
• Rotate on-call nights and weekends (8 AM-9 PM) to support laboratory needs
Additional Job Description
Qualifications & Essentials
• Bachelor's degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related scientific field
• HTL(ASCP) certification (or equivalent) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification , If not certified, must have completed a NACCLS Accredited HT/HTL Program and be certification eligible, certification must be achieved within 1 year of hire, until certification achieved salary will be 10% less.
