You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient palliative care consultations for patients with serious or terminal illnesses Manage pain and symptom control, complex decision-making, and goals-of-care discussions Support continuity of care as a hospitalist, covering general inpatient medical patients when needed Collaborate with nursing, social work, case management, chaplaincy, and specialty providers Participate in family meetings, advance care planning, and discharge coordination Engage in shared call coverage within the department Document clinical encounters and treatment plans in a timely, accurate manner in the EMR Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve end-of-life care and patient experience Qualifications MD or DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Fellowship training and/or Board Certification/Eligibility in Hospice & Palliative Medicine Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Connecticut Hospitalist experience or strong comfort in managing acutely ill inpatients Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Deep commitment to palliative principles and compassionate care Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary, commensurate with experience Annual performance-based incentives Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and CME days CME and licensure reimbursement Malpractice coverage with tail Supportive, collegial work environment with room for professional growth Thank you for your time, and I look forward to connecting soon!
