Position Summary: Welder/Fabricator is responsible for complete fabrication, assembly & welding of raw steel & aluminum into manufactured bodies. Included, but not limited to, cutting & forming raw materials into parts, welding parts together, reading & understanding build sheets & standard work instructions for the various products we manufacture. We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm. • Coordinate between Veritas Steel Production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed. • Perform visual inspection of material as required. • Perform layout checks as needed. • Perform rotational capacity tests on bolts prior to use in shop. • Work with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues on the floor. • Monitor welder qualification tests. • Monitor and record welding parameters to insure compliance to approved WPS. • Be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications. • Perform Dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies. Use Total Station as needed. • Develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate flow of work through shop. We're seeking skilled and experienced Journeyman welders to join an exciting project in Louisville, KY. These positions are available for both local and per diem workers. You must be willing to travel to Louisville, KY for approximately one year. Details are below: As a journeyman welder, you will be expected to plan, lay-out, weld, install, test and repair all types of pipe and similar tubular products in accordance with applicable plans, specifications, welding codes and industry standards. Markets Hiring: Louisville, KY Workers from anywhere in the continental US can work on this project as long as they are willing to be in Louisville for 1 year. Salary Range: $38 - $42 per hour + $105/day per diem for anyone outside of 50 miles from the jobsite. Nightshift earns +$1 per hour. Shift: Five 10 hour shifts per week.
