Job Description Job Description Job Title: Electrician - Residential, Solar, Off-Grid, and Backup Power Systems Job Summary Off Grid Solutions is hiring a motivated, detail-oriented electrician to join our Colorado-based team, serving the Front Range and Denver metro area. We are licensed master electricians specializing in high-performance residential electrical systems - from basic service work to complex off-grid power systems, solar and storage integration, emergency backup power, and load management solutions. We're looking for electricians who take pride in clean, code-compliant work and are eager to grow with a company building the future of resilient, efficient homes. Key Responsibilities Residential Electrical Service & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair common residential issues, including faulty outlets, switches, lighting, and circuit breakers. Replace or install new devices, fixtures, and wiring in compliance with NEC and local codes. Upgrade existing electrical systems for safety, capacity, or modernization (e.g., AFCI/GFCI upgrades, whole-home surge protection). Perform full-service rebuilds, including meter base and main panel replacements, grounding/bonding upgrades, and utility coordination. Conduct load calculations, panel audits, and service sizing for new construction, remodels, or additions. Solar, Storage & Backup Systems: Install and wire solar PV systems (grid-tied and off-grid) in residential settings. Integrate battery storage systems, including hybrid inverters, smart load panels, and balance-of-system equipment. Install and commission backup generators, ATSs, and manual transfer systems. Program and troubleshoot energy management systems, load shedding controls, and system monitoring platforms. Installation & Construction: Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and single-line drawings. Install conduit (EMT, PVC, ENT, etc.), raceways, service panels, subpanels, disconnects, and distribution gear. Wire homes from rough-in to final trim, ensuring all work meets local code and utility interconnection standards. Coordinate installation phases with other trades and communicate proactively with project managers and homeowners. Testing, Safety & Documentation: Verify continuity, polarity, insulation resistance, and voltage at key test points. Adhere to lockout/tagout, PPE, and OSHA safety protocols on all job sites. Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, materials, and system configurations. Qualifications Associate's degree, technical school certificate, or completion of electrical apprenticeship preferred. 5 years minimum experience in residential electrical work. Experience with service upgrades, solar, battery storage, or generator systems is a strong plus. Solid understanding of NEC, Colorado Electrical Code, and local permitting/inspection processes. Clean, efficient workmanship and a customer-first mindset. Valid driver's license and ability to work in various outdoor and indoor environments.
