Position Information: The Heart Institute is growing! We are expanding to support the community and adding to our already robust interventional cardiology and cardiac surgery services lines. If you are an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant that is competent with managing critical care patients, open heart patients, those requiring mechanical circulatory support and ECMO then this position is for you. This position is located at Lee Health HealthPark Medical Center. Single-site practice consisting of 5 APPs (3 on days, 2 on nights) covering 11 ICU beds; No stepdown, progressive care, or clinic . Schedule consists of 6x 13.5-hour shifts per 2-week pay period;No call Choice to do only days, nights, or combination Primary responsibility includes critical care management of open heart and mechanical circulatory system patients (ECMO, Impella) within institutional protocols under the supervision of a Cardiothoracic Surgeon Highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team partnered with in-unit Pulmonary Critical Care Partnered with ELSO for on-site ECMO education Robust opportunities for clinician growth and leadership development.
