Where you will work: This position will be based in Astounds Rocklin, CA and Sacramento, CA locations A Day in the Life of the Construction Technician: Perform construction work including coaxial placement, splicing, MDU work including the placement of molding and drop cable, and underground work including service tie-ins. Assist in construction projects including relocations, new developments, MDUs, commercial and residential projects. Perform all work as necessary to conform to quality control guidelines (includes compliance with requirements outlined in applicable regulations such as: OSHA, FCC, and NEC, etc. and following procedures as outlined in the Installation, Technical, Operations, and Safety Manuals, and Employee Handbook). Experience with and ability to establish traffic control setups for various lane configuration scenarios as necessary to complete job responsibilities. Familiarity with and experience using utility locating devices. Hands on experience related to various construction functions including cable and molding placement, splicing, conduit placement asphalt, concrete and grass restoration. Experience with and the ability to read industry standard mapping such as AutoCAD and GIS. Familiarity with basic computer skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Google. Experience with and the ability to load and unload a construction trailer, Fiber & Coax reel trailers. Position Purpose Provide day to day manufacturing operations support as part of Lean management team. Problem solve process roadblocks to meeting daily business objectives. Develop solutions for incremental continuous improvement priorities. Maintain process work instructions ensuring that any process changes are accurately reflected. Support and manage performance of two Document Control Assistants. Primary Responsibilities Team member within cross-functional Lean daily management teams focused on ensuring flow is maintained through production lines. Responsible for ensuring work instructions and standard work are documented for each process step Leads process continuous improvement projects driven by business goals for safety, quality, delivery and cost in collaboration with manufacturing team ensuring projects are complete on time and within budget. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-departmental meetings to ensure collaborating and cohesion.
