Position: Pre-Op / Post-Op Registered Nurse (RN) Job type: Full-time Location: Orange, CA 92868, United States Pay Rate: $50 per hour (based on experience) Days: Monday to Friday (AM - 8 hours) About: As a Pre-Op/Post-Op RN, you will play a vital role in preparing patients for surgery and providing attentive care in the recovery phase. You ll work closely with the OR team to ensure patient safety, comfort, and a smooth transition through the perioperative process. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and patient education Verify patient identity, surgical consent, and medical history Administer IVs and pre-operative medications Monitor patient vitals before and after surgery Provide recovery room care and manage post-anesthesia response Document patient status, observations, and nursing interventions Communicate with surgical team and patient families regarding care updates Respond to complications or emergencies with quick, professional judgment Discharge patients with clear recovery instructions and support Requirement: Current and active California RN license Minimum 1 year of experience in both Pre-Op and Post-Op/PACU settings ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills Pay Rate: $50 per hour plus Benefits (Medical, Dental, Life Insurance)
