Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required Experience: 6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care - Required Preferred candidates will have a minimum of 2 yrs RN experience within a Neuro/Trauma ICU. Certifications/Licensures : RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required or If position is identified as an internal training program, Required within 6 months of assuming position Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11/15/2018) Required - If position is identified as an internal training program, must complete the Apex Cardiac Rhythm test within 6 months of transfer. NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification - Achieved by the end of orientation to the assigned area - Required NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis - Required Attains 6 Trauma CEUs annually - Required Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) - Required within 2 years of hire Annual stroke care education as determined by department or Stroke Program - Required Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Work Shift: 12.0 - 19:00 - 08:00 No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $82.71 - $112.70 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area . Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The Pavilion and North Tower house a state-of-the-art emergency department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and surgical suites A teaching facility in affiliation with the Texas A&M University System Health and Science Center College of Medicine Accredited Chest Pain Center Accredited Joint Commission Stroke Team 8NT is a 36-bed unit with a focus on Neuro Telemetry and Neuro Surgical Services. The primary patient population is composed of stroke, brain, and spinal conditions that range from; seizures, brain aneurysm, laminectomy, cervical fusion, stable craniotomy mechanical thrombectomy after 24 hours of ICU recovery.
