Two years of experience working in skilled nursing facility and/or assisted living. Certification(s): State and National Certification of Activities Professionals. American Heart Association approved CPR/BLS required. Other: Valid NV/CA driver's license. Skills Computer/Typing: Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Proficient in MS Office. The activity coordinator helps to identify community partners to ensure growth and development of recreational and community integration program to improve resident's lives during and after rehabilitation. This position reports directly to the Manager of Rehabilitation Therapies. Nature and Scope: the activity coordinator must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of adult and geriatric residents and families. This position conducts evaluations, and develops an appropriate activities program from admission through time of discharge from the facility. At times, this position may be asked to participate in program development and outcome measurements in the clinical setting.
