Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate electrical and controls construction activities for capital projects, outages, and maintenance initiatives within a combined-cycle power plant environment. Provide field oversight of contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, environmental regulations, and work rules. Review engineering drawings, construction packages, technical specifications, and project designs to identify constructability concerns and recommend improvements. Support the preparation, review, bidding, evaluation, and award of electrical and controls construction contracts and field installation work packages. Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and schedule adherence through field inspections, progress tracking, and regularly scheduled project meetings. Review, evaluate, and approve contractor change notices, scope modifications, and field adjustments while maintaining project cost and schedule controls. Ensure all work activities are executed in accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC), industry standards, company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop and coordinate commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover plans with plant operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractor personnel. Lead quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts to ensure proper installation, testing, and operation of electrical and control systems while minimizing rework. Identify critical path activities, construction risks, and schedule impacts, and implement corrective actions to maintain project milestones. Coordinate outage planning, resource allocation, work sequencing, and project scheduling activities to support operational objectives.
