CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist Location: Kirkwood, MO Salary: Starting at $24/hour About the Opportunity Our valued client located in the St. Louis area is seeking an experienced CNC Horizontal Mill Machinist to join their precision machining team. This role is ideal for a highly skilled machinist with a minimum of 5 years' experience on horizontal milling centers , including setup, tooling, edits, and offsets. The position offers a hands-on opportunity to work with top-tier machines such as Toyota, Mazak, and Cincinnati horizontal mills. Key Responsibilities Perform CNC setup, tooling, and machining of parts to specification on horizontal milling centers. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD files, and technical drawings to ensure accurate production. Load and set tooling, make program edits, adjust offsets, and optimize feeds and speeds. Conduct in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators). Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain tooling and machine quality. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure all parts meet strict specifications.
