As the Gunsmith , you will be responsible for the functions outlined below Essential Functions: Responsible for demonstrating commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies and procedures. Repair and modify firearms to blueprint and customer specifications Use hand tools and machines such as grinders, planers, and millers May convert outdated rifles to current standards, or adapt factory-made rifles to the special needs of customers Preform function and accuracy testing on firearms Conduct preventative maintenance and cleaning on firearms Document warranty claims and repairs Assist the sales, marketing, and engineering teams with gunsmithing needs Observe and assist with customer communication to troubleshoot issues and find a solution Work directly with retailers to troubleshoot and fix range rental firearms Clear and concise communication to the customer on the root cause and detailed corrective action. Advise the quality and manufacturing teams on common warranty issues Expected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environment Participates in the company's efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and Productivity Other responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Technical two year gunsmithing degree or a combination of related experience, education and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job. High degree of experience in how to handle and operate firearms Understand the various assembly requirements for handguns, rifles, and shotguns Must be able to attach optical sights, pistol grips, and recoil pads, barrels, and any other accessories in accordance with manufacturer instructions Considerable time spent doing practical shop work, which covers parts design, barrel fitting, soldering, and welding, and Experience with grinders, drill presses, lathes, saws, drills and various metal working tools. Demonstrated ability to work in accordance with our Company Values. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday. Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc. Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.
