We are looking for a Director of Internal Supply - Operations. In this role you are responsible for all internal supply manufacturing process delivering extrusion and pultrusion products to Miter Brands facilities. Lead individual internal supply locations on the purchase of raw materials, conversion into lineal, and the distribution to manufacturing facilities. Work with Internal Supply Technical team to make improvements to the overall process to provide the best products at the best value to our internal customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead extrusion operations in Millersburg, PA, Tacoma, WA and pultrusion operations in Tacoma, WAOperations leadership responsibilities include the following departments:Materials TeamsRaw material procurementProduction schedulingInventoryShipping/distribution finished goods to manufacturing facilitiesProduction TeamsProduction line setupExtrusion-pultrusion processDie cleaningWork with facility financial controller to set and monitor budget performancePropose capital project needs based on production requirementsCollaborate with Technical Team and controller to create and adhere to capital spend planTeam with HR department to properly size production staffing level based on volume demandMonitor facility metrics and drive improvements based on historic dataRecommend improvements to facility equipment and infrastructureWork with Internal Supply Technical support team to achieve overall goals in the following areasTeam member trainingContinuous ImprovementMaintenance of equipment and facilitiesProduct QualityDie tooling sustainment/procurement/manufactureSupport Miter Brands manufacturing facilities with goal to improve customer experienceInteract with Supply Chain team commodity managers to ensure raw material procurementPrioritize workload to ensure that deliverables are completed in timelines that meet customer expectationsMaintain an individual project schedule to maximize task efficiency, prioritization, and communication Qualifications BS Degree in related field preferred10+ years in an Operations Leadership rolePrevious experience in Operations leadership requiredERP software experience related to procurement/scheduling/delivery requiredPVC Extrusion/Fiberglass pultrusion knowledge preferredFluent in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Practical knowledge of process improvement tools: Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, Five S, etc.Strong mechanical analysis, problem-solving, concept modeling, and mathematical skillsStrong passion, high energy, and enthusiasm for growthStrong time management, organizational skills, and ability to set priorities for multiple tasksAbility to effectively communicate in written or verbal manner with individuals from all areas of the organizationAbility to work in a production environment, if requiredAbility to work flexible hours and/or travel depending on the needs of the department and/or business What We Offer Our benefits package includes coverage of your health, wealth, and wellness for you and your eligible spouse/dependents.
