Staff Accountant - Nonprofit Organization Dallas, TX (Hybrid) LHH is partnering with a respected Nonprofit organization in Dallas, TX to hire an organized Staff Accountant to support financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role works closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Controller to maintain accurate financial records and uphold the integrity of financial reporting. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Compile and analyze financial data to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Assist with month-end close activities and support external audit preparation. Develop and monitor departmental and program budgets, providing variance analysis and guidance to program managers. Reconcile balance sheet accounts and accounts payable sub-ledgers to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and GASB standards. Prepare and submit financial reports to federal and state agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage grant reporting for funding sources, including reconciliation with the general ledger and resolution of discrepancies. Review grant expenditures for allowability and appropriateness, performing Budget vs. Actual analyses to prevent overspending. Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in budgeting, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. Background in healthcare or nonprofit accounting a plus.
