Batching Technician FULL-TIME $18/hr Starting hourly wage is between $15.50 and $18.00/hour depending on experience. Responsible for complying with food safety, food security, Quality, GMP's, HAACP, Allergen, and Sensitizers as well as other regulations as required. Will be certified in the operations of all blending equipment in his or her area of responsibility. Responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of the product run on the lines based on specifications. Responsible for duplicating and communicating all safety and good manufacturing practices in accordance with company policy as well as all other company policies. Ensures customer satisfaction in the production of and maintaining of juice quality. Obtains forklift certification. Transports required ingredients and pre-weighs by forklift from staging area to the blending area. Monitors and incorporates push outs and Dump to Bulk (DTB) back into system Hooks up hoses, pumps and lines for bulk concentrate or juice and transfers from the proper silo storage tank. Maintains, builds and starts up, filter(s) and opens drums. Inspects, monitors and maintains filter blankets; inspects daily for holes or damage; washes new blankets as needed. Programs touch screen for product delivery from silo room to blend tanks. Follows instructions on blending sheets, adds the proper ingredients, and records amounts correctly. Obtains blend tank samples and takes to the quality laboratory for testing. Follows instructions from the quality department on any blending adjustments necessary to bring product into specification. Completes blending sheets and is responsible for its accuracy. Completes all required documentation for blending operation and forwards to QA/Blending department for review. Maintains sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift. Responsible for CIP sanitation of all blending lines, tanks and equipment. Removes empty barrels and bins from batching area to outside storage area and trailers. Receives and unloads tankers of bulk concentrates as needed. Completes sanitation and line CIP as scheduled. Adheres to company policies and safety requirements as defined. Reports all non-compliance, product protection and food safety issues to management when encountered. REM-03 WS-03 Schedule Shift start: 6:00PM Shift length: 12 hours 2-2-3 rotating 12 hour shift (but remain on either day or night shift each week). Shift officially starts at 5:45pm - 6:15am to allow for transfer of information to oncoming shift.
