In St. Johns County, a new hospital and outpatient facility is being built in the Durbin Park area and ENT services are planned for UF Health St. Johns Flagler Hospital, a well-established community hospital in St. Augustine, FL. We are open to candidates with subspecialty expertise in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Rhinology/skull base surgery, Laryngology or general otorhinolaryngology. Post graduate education or an interest in ENT allergy or sleep apnea surgery/sleep medicine is a plus. This position will report to the Division Chief of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery and the Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville. Every faculty member in the department will have a mentoring team assigned to them and participate in the department wide faculty development program. The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to: Provide and maintain a high level of quality in-patient specialty and/or sub-specialty care services in Otorhinolaryngology. Provide clinical teaching of trainees if applicable and participate in the educational program. Be responsible for excellent communication with primary care physicians. Assist in marketing the Otorhinolaryngology programs to community physicians and managed care organizations. Participate in division and department meetings, administrative functions and institutional committees as requested.
