May perform assembly operations under microscope or other magnifying device. Dismantles equipment and replaces worn or defective parts to repair malfunctioning equipment. Assists Level I Assemblers with more complicated assemblies. May be required to operate powered industrial vehicle. Continually improves processes; quantitatively monitors processes. Essential KSAs: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a basic understanding of theory of electronics and electronic parts; must have ability to read prints; must have experience or training in soldering. Ability to: read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization; add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; perform these operations using units weight measurement, volume, and distance; apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
