Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer

Manages all aspects of the NC Real Estate Commission's strategic focus on diversity & inclusion in consultation with the Commission & Executive Director. Researches, develops, & recommends strategies to foster the Commission's diversity goals. Bachelors with major in field of law, social science or related field & experience in real estate brokerage preferred. Must reside in Raleigh area. $75,940 - $91,128 depending on experience. The position of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer is currently available with the North Carolina Real Estate Commission. A summary and employment schedule are outlined below.

Summary:
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Officer will be responsible for creating, implementing, and advancing the Commission's diversity and inclusion initiatives across the state. The DEI Officer will provide expertise on equitable policies and business practices in compliance with State and Federal fair housing, civil rights, and related laws to ensure a more inclusive environment for the public of North Carolina in connection with their real estate transactions. The DEI Officer will develop and recommend strategies to improve awareness and understanding of diversity and inclusion issues among real estate licensees and the public. The DEI Officer will also develop strategies to promote the brokerage profession to historically under-represented groups to create a more diverse and inclusive brokerage community.
