The Client's Client Connectivity Vendor Relations Management Team (VRM) is seeking a qualified candidate to assist in a variety of contractual relationships and obligations with various of the Client's vendors and internal customers. This position will primarily support vendor contractual relationships and the EDI interfaces between the Client and client's vendor software. Negotiation of contracts and contract language from template through execution is the major responsibility. A technical understanding of interfacing and practices along with knowledge of the vendors and the Client's EDI would be of value.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Managing and prioritize projects primarily for business partner vendor EDI contracts
- Resolve contract language issues that arise regarding the support of business needs
- Facilitate ongoing communications with business partners during the contract lifecycle
- Perform the following general activities in order to execute required Client EDI contracts:
Prepare initial EDI/HIPAA contracts
- Prepare initial drafts of the Client's standard EDI contracts
- Obtain vendor's agreement on draft version or obtain redline version from vendor with requested changes
- Resolve requested language changes/updates with vendor
- Working with the Client's Legal and management, track updates/versions of contracts as exchanged between vendor and the Client
- Prepare finalized contracts for signatures
- Execute finalized contracts
- Obtain vendor signature
- Obtain the Client's legal stamp for non-standard contracts
- Obtain EDI management review/signoff, send to CIO for signature
- Contract closeout
- Send a copy of the fully executed contracts to vendor
- Close out the project request with necessary documentation
Skill Requirements:
- Ability to relate professionally with people, working effectively with both internal and external business partners and management
- Technical understanding of EDI and interfacing concepts
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral coupled with contract language understanding
- Excellent analytical ability
- Ability to understand LabCorp's business and industry knowledge in general
- Associates Degree w/ 3 years business experience either in IS, purchasing, or vendor &/or customer relations or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years business experience.
- Strong attention to detail with analytical, organizational and project management skills
- PC and MS product proficiency
- Basic knowledge of contract terminology and legal procedures
- Understanding of Federal requirements for HIPAA, Stark laws and other industry regulations pertaining to clinical labs and lab vendors
