A Production Shift Supervisor monitors the activities throughout the plant site. Making their rounds throughout the shift and assuring that employees are working safe and being productive.
Keeping good communications between all departments and achieving results that maintains all plant operations. Minimizing downtime, spills, waste and making off-spec material.
Performing inspections and making decisions to prevent any up-set conditions concerning our regulatory permits.
Observing quality checks and measurements throughout the processes and using RFC's for trouble shooting.
Serve as emergency coordinators if there was any event that happens at the site.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Adherence to all plant environmental/safety regulations as specified in the Standard Procedures and in accordance with training.
Monitor production processes by data collecting such as process logs and Lab analysis.
Adhering to all company polices and maintaining a good working environment for all employees.
Maintaining production records.
Troubleshooting processes along with making good accurate decisions.
Train, coach and evaluate employees on the shift.
Adhering to our Quality System and procedures.
Making sure the plant is kept clean and stays organize.
Performing safety checks and maintaining all paperwork for compliance (Lockout/Tagout, Confine space, Mobile equipment, etc.)
Always carries a radio and maintains the plant cell phone and Supervisor office phone.
Scheduling overtime coverage.
Performing any other duties as needed by Production Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Two-year Associates degree preferred or a High School diploma.
3+ years industrial plant experience with some leadership skills.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.
Basic Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel.
The ability to write and speak effectively using appropriate convention based on the situation; actively listens to others, asks questions to verify understanding
Enstusiastic attitude wtih ability to motivate team members
Physical Requirements:
Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving object horizontally from position to position
Ascending or descending stairs, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms
Bending legs downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Standing, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Those activities in which you must convey by spoken word detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items and work with the fingers
