The Global Legal team is responsible for administering Hilton's legal activities to ensure maximum protection while engaging in global business and ensuring compliance with the company's legal obligations.
What will I be doing? The Counsel for Employment, Compensation & Benefits will provide counsel and strategic legal advice on employment, compensation, and benefits issues, policies, and programs. Your counsel will be provided to corporate and hotel Human Resources professionals and management personnel both in the U.S and international locations.
This Team Member will handle a variety of matters, which may include:
-Provide legal guidance on a wide array of benefit matters, including governance and implementation of health and welfare plans and programs and qualified retirement plans
-Review and guide compensation programs, policies, and plans, including bonus plans, sales plans, and other compensation arrangements
-Provide legal guidance on and review policies, programs, and practices related to various disability and leave-related issues. This will include workplace accommodations, the interplay between ADA/FMLA/workers comp/STD, PTO, sick leave, parental leave, and other state-specific leave requirements
-Evaluate and develop strategies for the defense of employment complaints, attorney demands, government audits, claims, and charges alleging violations of employment laws. This will include effective supervision of outside counsel
-Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to HR and the business on a broad range of employment, compensation, and benefits issues, policies, and programs
-Monitor and analyze new developments in the field of employment, compensation and benefits law and provide direction to the organization on new requirements and compliance needs
