Software QA Tester

This position will be responsible for testing of physical devices that contain software that is modified both in house and out of house to assure the high level of quality is maintained on HHT products. This position will also be responsible for the continuation testing IOT and server based systems for any changes implemented.

What You Will Do

• Document, write and maintain test plans.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Write reports and analyze test results.
• Communicate results to developers and engineers.
• Document and write SOPs, work instructions and standard work.
• Develop and deploy processes to improve software quality.
• Be highly analytical in solving issues and providing direction.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or the software/computer science fields or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5 or more years of experience testing applications, code and systems

Technical Skills

• Database query language experience in SQL
• Script writing and maintenance
• PyTest
• Background in test methodology
• Ability to use Jira, Bugzilla and other defect tracking tools
• Mariah DB or equivalent database

• Strong communicator, both written and verbal
• Software and Firmware knowledge
• Electronic hardware knowledge
• Server Administration and testing background
• Agile/lean or Agile software development process
• Server and system automation including server metric gathering and metric analysis
• Load balancer testing
• Database testing, design, and querying
• Familiarity with AWS console database services, security, identity and compliance tools
