We are looking for a Mechanical Designer with experience in HVAC design to join our growing MEP Engineering team. Revit experience is required.
Responsibilities: - Development of HVAC system construction documents (drawings and specifications) for a variety of commercial, educational, institutional and industrial clients.
- Run HVAC loads utilizing Carrier HAP, analyze projects and recommend systems.
- Select equipment, size ductwork and piping, work with vendors to develop design where required.
- Perform field surveys to document existing conditions.
- Prepare cost estimates.
- Produce accurate drawings utilizing Revit and AutoCAD.
- Assist Engineers in MEP design and drawing production.
- Coordinating drawing production with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines.
- Assist in review of Mechanical submittals.
- Preparation of As-Built drawings.
- Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team.
- To contribute or otherwise assist as required.
Required Qualities and Skills: - Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD MEP / Revit MEP.
- 3 - 5 years' experience working in building services (MEP) environment.
- Good knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineering terminology. .
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily task.
- Flexible attitude.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of project time management and deadline fulfillment.
Desirable Qualities and Skill: - Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010 or higher.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with design of Plumbing systems.
- Experience with commercial systems preferred.
- AutoCAD experience.
- Carrier HAP experience.
- Experience with project budgeting.
