LoanSnap is looking to add a Senior Underwriter to our team.Our Senior Underwriters are responsible for the final approval per mortgage lender guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the creditworthiness of borrowers to render a final credit decision. This includes but is not limited to the review of credit reports, paystubs, W2s, financial statements, tax returns, asset statements via task-based system.
• Review appraisals to ensure the report is accurate, complete and the value is supported, and the collateral is acceptable. Recognize when additional field reviews may be necessary to support value.
• Ensure compliance with appropriate company and investor guidelines.
• Review file to make sure state and federal regulatory guidelines have been met.
• Calculate Income for W2, rental cash flow, and Self-Employed borrower types
• Strong sense of urgency and initiative to get things done
• Efficient communication and follow-through

Requirements

• 1-3 years mortgage underwriting experience (both QM and non-QM)
• Comfortable with new technology systems and paperless environment.
• Knowledge of current mortgage guidelines, loan programs and trends
• Expert knowledge of Federal level regulations TRID, ATR
• Direct endorsement with CHUMS, HUD
• Motivated self-starter who is willing to go the extra mile.
• Excellent communication skills, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to think outside of the box while exercising sound decision-making

Preferences

• BA/BS degree
• QM, non-QM, and/or FHA/VA loan experience
• Appraisal Experience
• Processing experience
