Job Description
We are currently seeking a multicraft Maintenance Technician, with a mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background, ideally someone from the packaging, Flexible Printing and/or other similar industries for an opportunity in Elgin, IL
Role
In this role you will personally perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical principles, including, but not limited to
"Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment on flexographic printing presses, bag machines, slitters, laminating equipment, etc.
"Install, start-up and shut-down equipment according to safety procedures.
"Troubleshoot and repair other equipment, such as air compressors.
"Maintain required maintenance records for equipment.
The Qualified Applicant Will Bring With Them
"5+ years experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
"Strong working knowledge and proven skills/experience in mechanical drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics
"Good trouble shooting abilities, as well as excellent documentation, record keeping abilities.
Electrical Maintenance Exp
"Must be available for on-call.
Additional Desired Skills/Qualities
"Welding experience is a desired/plus.

- VOM (volt ohm meter) experience.
- Basic electrical trouble shooting low voltage (under 600volts)
- PLC knowledge (we dont do programing, but experience here is helpful)
- Proximity sensors knowledge
- Servo drives and motors knowledge
- VFD (variable frequency drive) and motor knowledge.
"Must be available for on-call.
