The Communications Specialist reports directly to the Director of Marketing. This is a remote position, but requires statewide travel in NJ when needed.

Building awareness of the Devereux NJ brand as well as its programs and services to various audiences via social media, marketing materials and internal communications.

Assist employees across the organization be: well-informed, engaged and connected to our overall mission

Write and edit clear, timely and engaging company communications focusing on strategic initiatives, news and events, and other topics relevant to key stakeholders.

Intra-net management/content development; writing news articles and feature stories that can be leveraged across platforms; producing company-wide emails and newsletters

Creating/managing social media content, and developing presentations and marketing materials.

A collaborator and outstanding storyteller who understands social media and communications strategy and best practices, and can successfully juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

Minimum of three to five years of writing/editing/social media experience in corporate communications, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field.

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Conceptual, creative and strategic thinker with a passion for news writing/storytelling. Strong familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook.

Proficient social media skills for business - Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Hootsuite, etc.

Proficiency with Constant Contact.

Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and the Adobe Suite.
