What You Will Be Doing
- Evaluate a range of Conventional, FHA, and other government loan applications for creditworthiness, completeness of pertinent documentation, and compliance with underwriting standards
- Analyze complex loans which require multiple follow-up documentation requests and underwriting discretion to properly evaluate
- Communicate with sales and support teams to ensure accuracy of all documentation throughout the application process
- Follow underwriting guidelines and best practices to ensure the most prudent final decision in each application
- Issue loan approval/commitment or notice of adverse action in a timely manner
What You Need for this Position
- 5+ years of Underwriting experience required
- DE certification and current familiarity with FHA underwriting guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
