Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented individual to join us as a Medical Lab Technician _ Genetics Lab. This role will be great for someone that has a passion for the laboratory and great customer service for our patients we serve. This specific position will work from the main medical campus in Omaha, NE.

Full Time and benefits eligible (1.0 FTE / 40 hours per week)
Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
No on-call at this time.

Perform, evaluate, and report clinical laboratory procedures according to department protocols and support continuous performance improvement of laboratory services to ensure high quality, timely pathology information throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent required.
Associate's degree OR equivalent experience practicing as a MLT prior to April 24, 1995 with documented training and competency in laboratory testing per Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 493.1489 required.
Effective communication skills required.
Initiative, teamwork and flexibility required.
Experience with laboratory instrumentation/equipment/reagents and kits required.
Certified Medical Laboratory Technician by the Association of Clinical Pathologists (MLT(ASCP)) or Clinical Laboratory Technician by the National Credentialing Agency (CLT(NCA)) or eligible required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Progressive, successful experience in clinical laboratory medicine preferred.
Experience with office equipment and supplies preferred.
Experience with audio-visual equipment preferred.
