Under the supervision of the Food Service Manager, the Food Service Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Food Service Manager in the daily operations of the kitchen and provides professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel. In the case of recovery person, he/she must have successfully maintained a three (3) years of uninterrupted abstinence from alcohol and/or drugs.


Work Experience

  1. Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
  2. Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  3. A minimum of 5 years working in a food preparation position
  4. Hold and maintain a Food Handlers Permit
  5. Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  6. Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  7. Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge
  8. Conflict management abilities
  9. Knowledge of basic training techniques
  10. Excellent organizational skills
  11. Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  12. Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  13. Awareness of local, state and federal health and sanitation laws
  14. Understanding of proper use and maintenance of major kitchen equipment, including stoves, refrigeration, slicer, knives, and dish machine Demonstrate competence for assigned responsibilities
  15. Able to follow oral/written instructions
  16. Must be medically able and willing to wear a NIOSH-approved tight-fitting respirator (N95 mask), if required by and in accordance with federal or state regulations or Spectrum policy.
. Requirements:
  1. If a recovering person, she/he must have successfully maintained a three (3) year period of abstinence from alcohol and other drugs.
  2. High School/GED. Five (5) years' experience in food establishment.
  3. Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is preferred.
  4. Extensive cooking and production experience required.
  5. Must have current Food Handlers Certificate.
  6. Well organized and able to multi task, work independently and enjoy working with people.
  7. Must attend all mandatory staff meetings and workshops.
  8. Must have and maintain valid NM Driver's License and auto insurance.
  9. Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
  10. Must be willing to take a pre-employment drug screen.
  11. Spanish Speaking (preferred)
  12. Must be 21 years of age or older.
