Our Boston Office is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Engineer to our multi-disciplinary design team. We work on a wide range of projects including data centers, higher education, laboratories, and commercial. We unite a global network of inventive and highly skilled building engineers and design specialists to help solve some of our client's toughest issues. Our aim is to Shape a Better world and we are looking for Mechanical Engineers who are passionate about great design and sustainability.

* Lead mechanical design for projects such as Data Centers, Laboratories, Academic, Arts & Cultural, Airports, and Commercial
* Experience doing mechanical engineering from conceptual design through construction administration
* Thermal load modeling for projects and utilizing BIM
* Mentor junior staff and teach teams to connect their solutions to bigger picture issues
* Coordinating with multiple subject areas and working in conjunction with project managers
* Attend client meetings and interact directly with clients
* Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
* Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
* Understanding trends and standard methodologies in the industry
* Participating in local Professional Associations

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
* 6 or more years of experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components
* Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP
* Experience with load analysis software for calculations
* Leading small to medium size projects from a mechanical design perspective
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
* The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
* Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels

Preferred Qualifications:

* Professional Engineering License in US (New England) desired
* LEED Accreditation
