Engineering Support Specialist

The Engineering Support Specialist supports the ongoing operations of ImOn Communications by working closely with the OSP Design Engineers. This individual will screen underground locate tickets on an ongoing basis throughout the day, will keep mapping updated for engineering firms and will research information needed for ongoing operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities for Primary Functional Area of Accountability

• Screen underground locate tickets.
• Verify and approve invoicing from locating contractor for payment
• Responsible for working with field personnel for Circuit ID project updates
• Submit pole attachment agreements with power utilities
• Document processes
• Print networking maps
• Perform regular mapping updates with contractors
• Provide network maps to engineering firms and internal customers as needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Experience, Training, and Special Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet Explorer.
• Must be able to work proactively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be flexible, able to multi-task effectively and maintain composure during high activity periods.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organization and time management skills.
