21-0079 Research and Development Assistant (Support)

Streck is seeking a Part Time R&D Assistant to join our Research and Development team. This position will be responsible for a range of laboratory actives including laboratory maintenance and assisting other research personnel in product development and improvement projects.

Primary responsibilities:

• General research laboratory upkeep; including but not limited to conducting instrument calibration and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies.
• Prepare samples, perform tests, and record results for assigned research projects.
• Communicate all pertinent information with research team.
• Complete all appropriate documentation necessary accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.

Requirements include:

Minimum:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, well organized, and self-motivated.
• Ability to perform general mathematical calculations.
• Ability to accurately weigh and dispense solids, measure, pour and /or decant liquids.
• Ability to perform all duties in a fast and efficient manner.

Preferred:

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related scientific fields.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite preferred.
• Comfortable with data-driven artwork such as charts, infographics, and scientific figures.
