Fascinating and innovative opportunity to join a growing business development and sales team that drives revenue growth for a state of the art, game changing, thermoset resin product offered to some existing and many, new markets.
Responsibilities:
· Find new applications and customers with unmet needs and pain points by assessing industry and technology trends, leveraging existing networks, and engaging with consultants and industry experts.
· Develop and commercialize new applications using a technical based consultative approach in target industrial and/or transportation markets
· Define customer requirements and secure feedback to refine product specifications for new applications
· Work closely with technical, applications and process engineering teams to manage the customer qualification process and close deals.
· Help create short- and long-term business strategies for the target market segments
· Develop pricing, financial forecasts, business plans, and competitive assessments
· Work with marketing to develop and execute marketing and communications plans
Qualifications and Experience:
· 10+ years of experience in advanced materials business development and sales functions, preferably in thermoset resins. Track record of revenue growth through materials substitution
· Strong ability to (i) create growth with curiosity, passion and aptitude for this innovative and exciting new technology and (ii) creatively engage value chain partners who can benefit from our value propositions
· Demonstrated new applications development experience with formulated products, polymeric materials, plastics and/or composite materials
· Broad understanding of thermoset and/or polymeric materials technology and advanced composites is preferred. Must have the ability to understand and communicate technology effectively to customers
· Strong ability to plan timelines and milestones as well as execution on time and within budget, working in a cross-functional team
· Travel requirement of up to 50% both domestically and internationally
· Location flexible - California preferred
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Engineering
· MBA a plus
